So my dearest friend Annie, is the number one trickster in the world. You would think that you could trust a true friend in this day and age. but no. On Monday of this week, she connived against me. Her, under the direction of my boyfriend, picked up my ring in provottown. All of this being unknown to me. So, on Tuesday night annie calls me up and asks if I could bring home a package for her family. Apparently Dallin had some clothes that needed delivered for the school play. Tuesday night I picked up the package for Dallin and headed home on Wednesday. Brian and I spent a wonderful day together on Wednesday and later that evening informed me that he was going to take me out on that date he asked me on (a month prior) the following day, but i couldn't know what we would be doing. So on Thursday morning we got up really, really early to enjoy pancakes with the family and then get ready for our date. He finally informed me that on our date i would need a jacket(it was real cold), a sack lunch, and a camera. Part of the date would be a photography contest to see who could take the best picture. So around 11 we departed. Our first stop-the baseball fields. The baseball fields were the first place we met, and also batting cages were our first date activity, so we competed in a home run derby. In which i schooled him. of course. :) We then left and went to the store to pick up our lunchables ( my favorite) and to get gas. He then started driving south. He finally informed me half way to Blanding that we were going to gooseneck park. I was sooo excited. It's gorgeous there. THis is where i got the first hint that he might propose. on the way down we stopped in bluff at the twin rock cafe, where he ran inside and reemerged with two sacks. One carrying a dream catcher kit and another one was apparently a "Christmas present". I didn't think much of it. We stopped and played around at the bluff memorial site and saw the cabins he built with his grandpa. AFter the site we finally travelled down to gooseneck. It was sooo gorgeous and we took so many pictures. We ate, and made the dream catcher and had a lot of fun. There were so many opportunities for him to ask me to marry him but he never took any-so when he said that it was time to go and how that was such a fun date and blah blah blah. I was kinda somewhat heartbroken. Thinking for sure i would have to wait to December. So on the drive home i'm just quiet, not saying much cause my heart was crushed when he pulled off in the middle of nowhere. So we pull off the side of the road to this really really pretty place. He informs me its coloring time. So he starts drawing and coloring, and im taking pictures of random things and watching him color. (i used all my paper on the way down :))So he finally finishes his picture and turns to me and asks if i want my Christmas present. OF COURSE! So he has me stand up to come look at it. Inside is a jewelry box-still doesn't register. I was thinking there was no way he got my ring inside the cafe so it must be turquoise. So, he pops open the box and there is a ring!!!!!! so of courseeee i am freaking out. He gets down on one knee and asks me to marry him. i screamed yes and then he put on the ring. uhmmmmm that ring is gorgeous. I still can't stop staring at it. DREAM RING! So after freaking out for a bit this tourist van pulls up next to us and we ask them if they could take some pictures of us as a newly engaged couple. They loved it. I can't wait to go talk to my mom so we get back into the car and he explains the trickiest thing ever. He informs me that i have had my ring longer than he has...."say whaaa". apparently that little box annie needed me to deliver wasn't really a costume. It was my ring. So fact: i brought my own ring from provo to monticello without any idea whatsoever. Those two are tricksters. Thanksss annie love for doing that though. you're good my dear. Oh and sister anderson. you are amazing as well for being in on it. So the proposal was perfect. I am so glad we did it in the middle of nowhere in this gorgeous gorgeous area. It was everything I had hoped for. Soooo now i need to plan a wedding. uhmm..help?! i'm not good at things like this. Soooo, please any cool idea. Share. :)

You do have THEE best friend in the world Marci.
You are so lucky.
I wish I could be half the friend Annie is.
And I wish my best friends boyfriend had been half as wonderful as YOURS in making bff feel appreciated, important, and needed.
All three of you are lucky ducks.
Marci gets bbff (best best friend forever) and charming sweet fiance.
Annie gets grateful best friend and kind best friends fiance.
And Brian gets a beautiful sweet bride and a supportive loving best friend who doesn't secretly wish death upon his soul.........
um......
oh. and last but not least.
I know I curse and moan about love and marriage and kissy kissys and all that jazz but honestly, I get giddy when I think about you and Brian in love. I love it.
If you tell anyone I confessed such a monstrosity I will deny it.
I will deny it and I will give you something really ugly for your wedding gift.
