Brians 25th Birthday

After our trip to Utah and Vegas we rushed home because Brian's school started back up on Tuesday. Of course tuesday was his birthday as well. Poor boy. School always starts back up on his birthday. So Brian started off his birthday with school...at lunch time he requested KFC's new buffalo wings so we hit them up and then back off to school he went. Brian's only request for his birthday was he wanted to do a sunset hike and picnic. Sooo once he came home we packed ourselves a little picnic and some cheesecake for dessert and headed off. We go to the top of the "mountain" faster than we thought so we had quite a bit of time before the sunset. We set in this rock bench for over an hour and just talked about life thus far and all the exciting things we have to look forward too. It was a lot of fun to just sit and relax. We ate our dinner of PB&J's and then while the sun was setting we lit a candle on our cheesecake and I sung a really awkward version of Happy Birthday while some fellow hikers sitting next to us watched me without joining in. Party poopers. We ate cheesecake and then finished our hike just as it was getting dark. We then went home so Brian could study for his test the next day. poor boy.

That weekend we decided to do a little party with friends to celebrate a little bit more without the stress. We had about 13 friends over for a cinnamon roll & egg nog feast. (Brians request) We played apples to apples and couch of power. It was a lot of fun! funny sidenote. when making the cinnamon rolls I asked brian how many he thought I should make. we had invited about 16 people so he thought around 3 each would be good. I assured him everyone would not eat 3 but he insisted. I ended up making around 65 cinnamon rolls. Guess what? Everyone ate one. Soooo we now have a lot of cinnamon rolls in the freezer to eat at a later occasion. hahah.

Brian is definitely the love of my life and its such an amazing feeling waking up with the biggest grin on your face every morning knowing that you get to be with him, even if it is just for a little bit. We are always having such a blast and I am so lucky to have him.
