Viva Las Vegas

One of my resolutions  for the New Year is to blog. Not to become a popular blogger but to just blog to write down our memories. I am so bad at this but I am really going to try.

Christmas this year was an absolute blast! It was my first Christmas away from my family and my first Christmas in Arizona and it wasn't hard at all! I absolutely love my in-laws. I have the best new sister Melanie and Colleen and Joe are for sure the best in-laws a girl could have. Not to mention I inherited some amazing new sets of grandparents, cousins, nieces, and a brand new baby nephew.

I have never had a big family Christmas before so it was a big change but a lot of fun. We spent Christmas Eve with the whole Bothwell family at Grandma and Grandpa Bothwells. We ate fabulous food and played some Christmas music on some Chimes and opened presents. It was a lot of fun. We spent Christmas at Momma and Papa B's house. It was so much fun to open presents with little kids again. Brooke and Leah made Christmas morning so much more exciting and magical.

Brian got me a new snowboard for Christmas and I also got new boots, some clothes, a remote for my camera. My present to Brian was a surprise trip to Vegas. He had never been which is a shame. So after spending some more time with family we packed up and headed to Vegas where we met up with family.

Vegas was a blast, exhausting but a blast. We got there relatively early on Wednesday morning so we met up with my family and explored the strip for awhile. We had our first show that evening at Excalibur, The Tournament of Kings, where basically you are divided into countries and you cheer on your knight to victory in a series of challenges. Its very cheesy and you eat your food with your hands and act very barbaric so we absolutely loved it. That night after the show we walked our bums off and went and watched the fountains and a street magic show and what not. It was fun but my feet killed.

The next day we went to Circus Circus and played some games and won a bunch of cheap prizes. We rode some rides and then went shopping! I love shopping out some good deals, so when Urban was having a mega sale with all sale items an extra 50% off I took full advantage. I bought 2 dresses and a new shirt and it was only $25! boo ya. We had our second show that evening which was a variety show full of Magic, Juggling, Acrobatics, and Comedy. The magic show was hilarious and a total flop but the rest was super good and the host was hilarious so we really enjoyed it!

It was my first time in Vegas being 21 so we gambled a little bit but sadly I had no beginners luck. Brian always tears up the black jack table and turned 10 into 100 before we decided to head on out.
We left Friday morning and spent New Years with my family in Monticello. We fondued and relaxed. It was such a fun Christmas vacation and I loved being able to spend so much time with my husby.
