4th of July

It had rained every single day since we had moved to CT and we LOVED it and then boom July 4th came and it was HOT and humid. I guess the fourth of July is supposed to be hot though, right? It was a fun day regardless. We started off with hitting up the ward breakfast which was fun and delicious. Brian cooked 12 pounds of bacon. It's a miracle he somehow still doesn't smell like bacon goodness. It was fun to meet a few more members of the ward and go to a new park. I love the parks here, they are like forests. After the ward party we went home and I napped and he studied, boards are awesome. Not. That afternoon we went and picked up an ice cream and fries from McDonalds and went and sat on a pier on the Quinnipiac River. Then we went and drove through some the neighborhoods looking at the cute homes and then ended up at the ocean. There is a little park set up on a hill right up from the coast. Darling. We finished off the day with a BBQ at a friends and missing the fireworks because of traffic. Haha, classic. It was super fun to get to have an extra day with Brian though especially since he is working all day every day for the next two weeks. Plus add onto that studying for boards. Poor boy is so busy already.
