1st time in NYC

Brian and I headed to NYC last weekend for the first time and seriously had a blast. Basically any day where I get to spend all day with Brian is the best. He works so much that when he has a day off we try to take full advantage of it. Anyways back to NYC, we decided to actually drive into the city vs take the train because it would be a little bit cheaper. It was SO incredibly easy and we are totally only driving into the city from now on. We got there around 10:30 and headed straight to Central Park. There was a breast cancer run going on so there was a ton of sponsors handing out free food and drinks to people so we took advantage of that and stocked up on some water and hawaiian sweet rolls. :) We had tickets to the Red Sox vs Yankee game so after an hour or so at Central Park we walked down 5th Ave to Grand Central Station. We thought we would have more time to explore grand central but our train ride to the stadium was leaving like 5 minutes after we got there so it was in and out. The baseball game was super fun besides the fact that the Red Sox lost. I was wearing my shirt and we were cheering for the Sox the whole time so we made a few fans mad which was awesome. Of course the series up to this point had been super amazing games with Grand Slams and epic comebacks but our game the Yankee's won on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth. LAME. Still fun to be the first in my family to see the epic rivalry in person. After the game we headed to Times Square where we finally were able to watch a little Sunday Night Football. Brian has been dying to watch some football so we hung around a bit before finding some pizza and a cannoli to eat before heading back to our car. It was a super chill and actually somewhat relaxing trip considering we were in NYC.  The only crazy we encountered was right as we were leaving a man came up to us asking for money and as he did a HUGE flask of alcohol fell out of his jacket. Needless to say we turned him down. We head back this Sunday with my mom and grandma so we will be doing more sightseeing then. :)
